Kyle's rich history traces its roots to a day in 1880 when railroad magnate, Jay Gould, chose a location for a station stop of his International and Great Northern Railway. The original 200 acres were auctioned off under the historic Kyle Auction Oak (204 S. Sledge) on October 15, 1880. Today, it is one of the fastest growing cities in Texas.

When visitors arrive in Kyle they find numerous historic sites, a range of restaurants that will fulfill any culinary desire, venues for entertainment and to hold those special events, unique neighborhoods, and shopping to meet all tastes.

Kyle, Texas also provides the perfect place to stay. We are less than 10 minutes from the largest Outlet Mall Shopping centers in Texas and only 15 minutes from the State Capitol in Austin.
